One of the Mysteries

Standard

The
almost but
not yet abounds.

We
grow in
darkness and quiet.

Dig.
Cover with
dirt, water, sun.

Grow.
Unfold.  Stretch.
Breathe.  Howl.  Shine.

Expand
and lengthen.
Abandon yourself

to
the almost
but not yet

  1. I love the playful rhythm of this piece. The way the “almost but not ye”t bookends the poem. The notion of “abandon yourself to the almost but not yet” is wonderful. The growing metaphors are tactile and nice. I can feel the stretching. It is a fun and deep poem! Just lovely!!!!
